Programming & Designs International was established in 2004 in Richmond, Virginia by Tomika Cox. The company exists for the sole purpose of bringing open source solutions to businesses and education facilities, small and large, allowing the client to save time and money.

What is Open Source?

Basically, open source is any software solution made available to the public along with all code. However, in order for a software to be deemed open source, it must meet the distribution terms of Open Source software by meeting certain criteria and in turn, getting licensed. Some open source solutions are free and some are not.

At Programming & Designs, we use only the best open source solutions. There are hundreds of solutions available but we desire to use the best of the best with our clients.

What We Do

We specialize in two areas: the Retail industry and the Educational arena. We create ecommerce solutions for retailers, empowering them to sell their products online worldwide. As for the educational arena, we work with the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide schools with a school/student management system enabling the parent and the school to communicate more effectively. We listen to a need, offer a solution, and implement that solution. We simply are about creating future solutions.
